The 2011 edition of the Father’s Day Fishout is coming up soon, join us for a weekend of fishing and camaraderie at the Narrow Hills provincial park. With dozens of lakes within reasonable driving distance, the Narrow Hills park is one of Saskatchewan’s premier fishing destinations. Try your luck at catching rainbow, brook, brown, tiger trout, splake, pike, walleye, perch, and more. Smaller groups organize in the morning, or the night before and head off to one of the many lakes, so plenty of opportunity to find fishing partners for the day if you’re coming on your own.
The official fishout days are June 17th-19th (Friday-Sunday), but there’s always an “Advanced” crew that arrives on Wednesday, and some stalwarts that comprise the “Super Advanced” crew that will arrive as early as Monday the 13th. Camping accommodations are readily available within the park, as well as lodging at Caribou Creek lodge (check for availability). The cabins at Lower Fishing Lake have been fully booked up for this year. Lastly, be sure to bring a dish and a big appetite for the potluck dinner on Saturday night, it’s a feast that won’t soon be forgotten.
