Introduction to Fly Fishing

Rick Sullivan will be teaching an introductory fly fishing course covering all the basics of the sport. Both sessions will be the same, just pick the most suitable date.

Beginners Fly Tying Lessons

This course is aimed at those who’ve never tied before, and over the 5 sessions you will tie some of the more commonly used patterns for trout and pike used in the province. Tying equipment can be borrowed from the club, and tying materials can be purchased for a nominal price.

Where: Faith River Church on Preston Avenue
When: March 17th & 24th, April 2nd, 7th & 14th, 7:00-9:00pm

Beginners Fly Casting Lessons (NOTE: Location Changed, see below)

This course is geared for those that have little to no experience casting a fly rod. For those that do not own a fly rod but would still like to try it out, the club provides loaner rods for use during the lessons (limited supply, first come first serve)

Where: Roland Michener school at 4215 DeGeer St. (google map) for nights 1 & 2,  SWF fish pond for night 3
Where: Kinsmen Park for nights 1 & 2,  SWF fish pond for night 3
When: May 5th, 6th, 7th, 6:30-8:30pm
