JERRY JACKSON FISH STORY

It happened on a regular weekend trip to one of the club's favorite lakes. On a hot summer day, Jerry hiked in to the lake. He set up his belly boat and paddled out to a favourite spot on the lake. After sitting out there unsuccessfully, he got into his favorite position (recliner mode) and dozed off. A group of fellow fisherman decided to play a trick on Jerry. They knew that he was asleep and that his line was out in the lake waiting for the "big one". They crossed their fishing line with his causing a jerk effect on his line. He awoke thinking that he had finally caught the "big one". Everyone laughed when they saw his reaction. He was disappointed that he had not caught a fish, but later Jerry would laugh with everyone else about the trick that had been played on him. Even though he didn't always catch fish, Jerry was happy to be doing one of the things that he loved to do the most…fishing with the guys.

2007 - John Salamon

It began at 1:15 one glorious fall afternoon and ended some twenty minutes later with the Beast safely in the landing net.

         Making the Tough Choice

You can notice Kevan cause he's the guy with the broken fly rod but he is still proud of his first "Dief" rainbow and indeed ... his first fish on a fly rod.

Broken Dreams/Mended Hearts

2003 - Wrenell Streisel

Wrenell and Tom are fairly new members that are serious about fly fishing. (Tom's the guy in the picture holding Wren's trophy)

Wrenell's Trophy Pike

2002 - Kelly Lardner

Kelly Lardner is the guy to see if you need a trailer to haul all those toys to the lake and now we find out that he can also spin a good yarn. I suppose the picture is proof enough

Beautiful Big Brown

2001 - Wayne Phillips

Wayne Phillips is one of the founding members of the Kilpatrick Flyfishers and his prowess with the pen is almost as well known as is his forrays in fishing.

Steelhead Jinx Finally Broken

2000 - Ken Bindle

Ken (Doc) Bindle enjoys spending most of his time at Little Bear Lake and some of his time in Saskatoon.

A Very Young Fisherman's Tale

1999 - Paul Trottier

Paul has been a member of the Kilpatrick Flyfishers for a few years now and can proudly boast of catching one of the big ones

The Fish Justin

1998 - Clayton Ross

Clayton joined our club about 5 years ago and we can't decide wether he would rather fish or ride those rodeo broncs. Clayton wears belt buckles that would surely sink any boat (That's a complement Clayton, we're just jealous)
