Fly Tying Class Week 3
The focus of this week's class will the a locally developed fly known as the O'Keefe Special. We will also spend some time discussing hooks and what to use for different situations.
The focus of this week's class will the a locally developed fly known as the O'Keefe Special. We will also spend some time discussing hooks and what to use for different situations.
This week will will learn techniques used in tying many nymph patterns. Two popular and effective patterns will be taught: Hare's Earn Nymph, and the Pheasant tail Nymph.
This week you will be introduced to tying dry flies. One will be an essential classic, the Elk Hair Caddis, and the second will be a foam hopper/beetle pattern. Both are very useful.
